My best portraits occur when you send a few of your favorite photos - one may convey a particular expression you are fond of, another might be a good example of your pet’s distinct markings or color. Several photos will help me form an idea of your pet’s unique personality and characteristics. I do request that your images be clear, fairly detailed, and well lit.

Upon receiving your photos, I will look for the clearest detail, best lighting and color. I often find that one particular photo will make the best pose. I will use that photo as my primary source of reference.

There are times when only one photo of a pet is available. I will make every attempt to do your portrait justice. My portrait of “Chloe” was done to commemorate a small dog that had passed away years ago - only one photo was available.

My pet portraits are limited to head & neck poses only. I have found that this format is best for capturing eye detail and unique facial expressions. It is not necessary to send all headshot photos. As you can see from the examples of “Spy” and “Sally”, I concentrated on a small area of the photos from which to work.

I will update you regularly with the progress of your portrait and welcome any input and comments from my clients. You will receive via e-mail a photo of your portrait upon completion.
